Festival of Lights A2A in Monte Isola

Light is Life Festa delle Luci A2A, after the appointments of Brescia and Bergamo Capital of Culture 2023, lights up Monte Isola on Lake Iseo.

From 8th to 23th July, the island returns to the forefront of international contemporary art thanks to the “Third Paradise of Energy” inspired by Michelangelo Pistoletto and the dancers of Angelo Bonello.

The event will be inaugurated on the evening of July 8th on the long lake of Monte Isola, while on the morning of July 9th there will be a rowing event: the rowing of the Third Paradise.

Inauguration: 8th July, at 21.00, along Lake Peschiera Maraglio.

To reach Monte Isola it is advisable to park your car in Iseo and get to Sulzano by the shuttle bus that leaves from the Sassabanek car park along the provincial road to Rovato.  At the following link you can find the shuttle bus timetable: Timetable Shuttle Bus Iseo Sulzano Festival of Lights

You can also park your car in Sale Marasino, take the ferry and reach Carzano. Subsequently, from Carzano there will be a bus service that will take you to Peschiera Maraglio.

On the occasion of the event the ferries on the Peschiera Maraglio-Sulzano route will be continuous until 2:00 am to continue as usual “on call” according to the timetable in force.

For the runs of the scheduled service, on the Iseo-Peschiera Maraglio-Sensole route it will be mandatory to book the return from Monte Isola after 20:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on 8-9-14-15-16-21-22-23 July. The races involved are the 57, departure from Peschiera Maraglio at 21:10 and from Sensole at 21:20, and the race 59, departing from Sensole at 22:20 and from Peschiera M. at 22:30. Travelers can make a reservation by purchasing the return ticket online until 24:00 on the day before the trip or they can make a “last minute” reservation at the Iseo ticket office. The ferry service on the Sale Marasino – Carzano route remains unchanged.

For those coming from Iseo by boat, it is advisable to use the shuttle from Sulzano for the return, since the last boat from Peschiera to Iseo is at 22.30, while the event is available until one in the morning.
